Earlier today one of my readers sent me the E-Mail address of the number 2 guy at the company that makes the __________. I sent off the link to my blog to "Ken", Mr. #2.
About 4 hours later, I got a great E-Mail back from him, and a moment ago I spoke to Misty. She was terrific, the kind of smart woman that you want working with and for you.
She had everything in front of her, told me exactly why there were delays and that on Monday she would have the company ship me a replacement device.
I thanked her, and now will patiently wait the good news.
(Boy, I hope she delivers, as using the back up solution is painful!)
Buzz - I think with the run-around you got, you should still publish the name of the company. Personally, I don't want to have any dealings with a company that handles things the way they do, and the fact that you're getting special treatment from a vice president because you're ready to call them out on their brutal service should not mitigate the trouble they've given you. It would be far more interesting to see whether you had received this extra attention *after* blowing the whistle on them, rather than merely threatening to.
Plus, I'm just dying to know who it is, so I can forever avoid them.
Great blogs, by the way. I'm an ActiveWords user, and proud of it! I still don't understand why it's not built right in to Windows.
