A cool new way to save trees...

This morning I got an E-Mail from my pal Jim McGee’s wife Charlotte. The funny thing about the E-Mail which is set forth below is that it really hit a nerve. I checked my mailbox the other day, and found that it was jammed with catalogs. I threw them in the trash and didn’t even bother to really look at them. I hate to say that I spent about a second mulling over my decision.

Charlotte’s E-Mail which is set out forth below is a much, much better idea, so unless there is some incredibly compelling reason not to, try Catalog Choice, save some trees, improve your carbon footprint, and make the world a better place.

To my Green friends:

I have just discovered a way-cool web service that will cut down on the number of catalogs that you receive in the mail.  It's called Catalog Choice.  Check them out at http://www.catalogchoice.org/.  It takes a teeny bit of work on your part.  You sign up for the service (it's free).  Then you have to actually choose the ones you want to stop from their very long list of choices.  They contact the company on your behalf and get your name taken off their mailing list.

If you are like me, the piles of unwanted catalogs that arrive on a daily basis make me truly nuts.

The environment will thank you AND your mail carrier will thank you too!

Charlotte
