I was at a dinner the other night in Silicon Valley and was talking with Steve Gillmor. We were talking about perspective and content. And Steve made a very funny and also incisive comment:
“If you stare at a fireplace long enough it looks like a TV.”
A corollary: If you stare at TV long enough, you get nothing ? Jack Handey says it well:
"When I think of all the hours and hours of my life I have spent watching television, it makes me realize, Man, I am really rich with television."
