That time of year...and a great, but simple thought...

I have been in mild gloom since Duke lost to VCU. But I found myself watching a documentary on U.C.L.A. the other night on HBO.

If you like basketball, it is very much worth watching, and one of the quotes from John Wooden has stuck with me..

“Happiness begins when selfishness ends…”

I have to say that this simple idea has really resonated with me, and I think that the happiest people I know are the least selfish. Wooden probably got the idea in small town Indiana, but the idea really rings true.
