Somethings just Gada.be
As you are reading my blog, and you look just to the left right below my picture, i.e. the one that Chris Shipley said was taken when I was having way too much fun sailing on S.F. Bay, you will see the Gada.be “Tag Metasearch” TypePad Widget.
Chris Pirillo asked some of this friends to try it out. I had an idea of what it might do, and being a big fan of Chris, I followed the instructions and installed it.
I had to play around a little with it to see where I wanted to put it, but figured that the spot was about right.
So what is the result from searching ActiveWords on it, go ahead and try and you should get a result that looks like this! I am a very big fan of what I call “search in context” so that now when I write something and people want to see other pointers, they just need to enter the term in the Gada.be search well, and whammo you get a great result.
I just had this eurkea moment, which is probably what Chris P. intended. Now when I blog about someone or something using BlogJet, I can simply use Gada.be to get links related to the person or idea, and anyone clicking on the link will get vastly better results “in context” than just garden variety linking.
Just one more example of not only that people are building very cool technology, but how you can aggregate it together and end up with truly excellent results.
Great work Chris and great work Typepad!
