"Sleeping wife next to me :)"

Earlier today during the closing session at High-TECC, I was demonstrating the power of Skype to the hard core geeks who had come to the final session. I started off by “Skypeing” my friend Shannon Clark in Chicago, then reached out to Robin Good in Rome. Both were fun to talk with, and just as I was about to move on to something else, I noticed that Phil McCredden’s Skype icon was showing that he was on Skype.

Given the Phil lives in the northern suburbs of Melbourne, Oz, I thought I could show just how far ranging Skype is, I used the IM.client inside Skype to ask Phil if we could chat over the VoIP functions of Skype.

Phil instantly responded, "Sleeping wife next to me :)"

Everyone in the room laughed!

lol.. see how considerate I am :)

Maybe the next version of skype can fix this problem!!!

Hi Buzz:
I'm almost home from a week in Vail after High-TECC and I'm already figuring ways to get the entire extended family up and going on Skype. We're spread across the Western Hemisphere so it will be great. Great as well for my daughters to talk (endlessly) with friends not too far away. Great suggestions.
