When my ThinkPad melted down, it not only required that I re-install Windows, and all my applications, but it also may have resulted to my Treo blowing up.
First up I want to thank Sean of the Microsoft RSS team. He patiently took over and helped get my ThinkPad out of the cyber ditch and back on the road. A very noble and appreciated act of kindness.
Also to Josh G. at BestBuy in Bellevue. When I tried to get my Treo working, I couldn’t get it to synch with anything including the network. Ultimately I realized that I needed the CD that comes with the Treo, which is in a box, in Florida, 3,000 miles away. To my amazement the software you need to reconfigure your Treo is not on line, but rather solely on the Treo. Josh immediately found me an open box, got me the software, and in a few minutes the phone was fixed.
To both guys, thanks again! When you are trying to run a business on the road, and all the tools stop working, you are basically screwed.
