Long story...nothing to do with technology, but early tomorrow morning I am heading west.
My plans are to drive to Ft. Smith, Arkansas for Thanksgiving with my darling daughter Whitney and her young husband Justin. It has been almost a year since I have seen them. Both 23, both in school, and both working.
When Dave Winer blogged his trip from Boston to Seattle, I followed it step by step. Mulling over the lure of the open road. My trip is one where I have to complete some family business in Portland, Oregon, and it involves delivering a car to my sister.
So, all aboard, wagons west, I plan to head through places like Tupelo, Memphis, Little Rock, Bentonville, KC, Omaha, Sturgis, Sheridan, Bozeman, Spokane, Yakima and then into Portland.
I truly regret not making the trip earlier in the year, but for DemoMobile, MSN Search Champs, Pop!Tech and Bloggercon.
It has been a busy fall, and now as the snow is beginning to fly, who knows what the open road will bring.
I probably will do more of the blogging on this trip over on Buzzmodo, as on that blog is where I hang my ideas.
Stay tuned for more adventure. My iPod is loaded, 44 hours of books, and about 15 hours of ITConversations.
Camera is packed, and I have charted my trip via WiFi hot-spots.
Good nights sleep and then I am off.
