Changing blogs in Blogjet

As I have previously written in my Buzzmodo blog, I have been using BlogJet to blog off-line. BlogJet is a very clever little application that provides a much simpler means by which to blog than say writing inside Typepad.

When I decided to split my blogs, I couldn't for the life of me puzzle though how to blog to two different blogs using the BlogJet. I E-Mailed  Dmitry Chestnykh of BlogJet and he sent me some pretty straight forward instructions, which I read through about 5 times before I raised my hand indicating my continued bafflement.

As in many things, Dmitry quickly point to the toggle that allowed me to create a new account within BlogJet. At the same time, he acknowledged that I wasn't the first person to not "get it"! The best part of trading E-Mail with him was learning that he lived right outside Moscow.

So, now I have it wired, and I set out to create two simple scripts that allow me to toggle back and forth between my blogs.

I have named the scripts so using ActiveWords so that all I have to do is type "changeo" to get to Buzzmodo and "changen" to get to Buzznovation.

The scripts are drop dead simple, and anyone using ActiveWords and BlogJet can easily adapt them.

They are listed below, and all they do is go to the change accounts command under the Tools, close out, i.e. don't save the blank page and switch to my other blog.

<F5>n<UP><enter>

<F5>n<Down><enter>

I will probably tweak them one more time so that I will expand the script to enable me to launch BlogJet, and go right to the BlogJet account for the Blog I want to write it. Not magic, just a little work.

The resulting script will look something like this:

<bj><F5>n<UP><enter> , where bj...launches BlogJet.

Try it, and you will see that it is easy to do, and when you use tools like ActiveWords and BlogJet all you have to do is focus on writing, which is truly the hard part.
