This morning my E-Mail server was down, so I decided to try some stuff that I had qued up. First up was Mozilla Firebird. So far, so good. A lot faster, and seemingly gets rid of all pop-ups, which is great. I had installed a couple of pop-up blockers, but they seemed often to be getting faked out, and whammo there were the pop-ups.
I haven't figured out how to only have one web site open at a time. Firebird seems to want to open lots of them as you browse through a bunch of web pages, but I am sure there is a switch or plug in somewhere that solves this problem.
One short term headache seems to be that I have to re-enter all passwords, etc. which I have in Outlook, but this is just more work, when you are hoping to have less.....
